R v D.C.D. [Court of Queen’s Bench]

The client was charged with 9 offences under the Criminal Code and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, including offences relating to possession of a restricted firearm, and possession of illegal substances.

The client was stopped for a potential traffic safety concern, subsequent to which his vehicle was searched. CPS allegedly found a loaded hang gun, ammunition, cocaine, and a knife in the client’s possession.

Successful Result: All charges were stayed and the client obtained no criminal record.
