R v D.W. [Lethbridge Provincial Court]

Sexual Assault: Peace Bond

The client was charged with sexual assault. It was alleged that the client had non-consensual sexual intercourse with the complainant. The client was facing a 3 year starting point jail sentence and registration as a sex offender.  Tonii Roulston set the matter for trial prepared to argue that the sexual activity was in fact consensual. Before the start of the trial, the Crown Prosecutor withdrew the charge. The client entered into a Peace Bond and has no conviction and no criminal record.
