Crown Prosecutors dropped murder charges faced by N.B.

Crown Prosecutors dropped murder charges faced by N.B. who was alleged to have tossed his mother down a staircase. The Crown told Justice Bensler that N.B. had been found unfit to stand trial and was not a danger to the community. Tonii Roulston, acting for the elderly accused, said that information from the Hospital indicated that N.B. would never be fit to stand trial based on his severe dementia and inability to understand the legal process. The second-degree murder charges were stayed.
