Home invasion suspects fired on by police found not guilty of break and enter

Two men shot at by police fleeing a reported armed home invasion, including one who was struck by a bullet, were acquitted Thursday of the most serious charges they faced.

Provincial court Judge John Bascom found Arkangelo Anny and Reec Wol not guilty of break and enter and using a firearm in the commission of an indictable offence in connection with an incident last March 23, at a southeast Calgary mobile home.

Bascom also found Wol not guilty of pointing a firearm at homeowner Vern Peterson.
