Liliana Lopez joined Roulston Urquhart Criminal Defence in February 2024, during her second year of law school. While at Roulston Urquhart, she has worked on a wide range of criminal matters, including assault, domestic violence, sexual assault, robbery, and drug-related offences. She is currently completing her articles under the supervision and mentorship of Robin McIntyre and Tonii Roulston.

Liliana earned her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Science from the University of Winnipeg in 2020, graduating on the Dean’s Honour Roll as a Student of Highest Distinction. She went on to obtain her Juris Doctor at the University of Calgary in 2025.

While in law school, Liliana was actively involved with Student Legal Assistance (SLA), where she supported low-income individuals facing criminal charges. In her final year, she served as Student Director. During her time at SLA, she worked on approximately 40 criminal files, many of which she successfully resolved. Her experience at SLA helped her develop key advocacy skills, including negotiating with the Crown and working compassionately with vulnerable clients facing poverty, homelessness, and addiction.

Liliana’s hands-on experience and commitment to defending individual rights have shaped her strong passion for criminal defence and her unwavering dedication to client advocacy.
