Kirsten Lancee defended BL against allegations of choking his domestic partner and common assault. In
advance of trial, Kirsten negotiated with the Crown and highlighted the issues with the complainant’s
reliability due to her state of intoxication. Kirsten successfully negotiated an offer of a common-law peace
bond for her client and all charges were withdrawn in advance of trial. BL has no criminal record as a
result.
