Kirsten Lancee defended DJ against allegations of kidnapping and unlawful confinement. In advance of
trial, Kirsten negotiated with the Crown and highlighted the complainant’s motive to concoct the
allegations, including that she was financially motivated. At trial, the Crown declined to call the
complainant as a witness and the Court acquitted DJ. As a result, DJ has no criminal record.
