Kirsten Lancee defended AMG against impaired operation of a motor vehicle by drug and dangerous
driving. In advance of trial, Kirsten wrote a Charter notice alleging that police had violated her client’s
rights to be free from warrantless search and to be free from arbitrary detention without reasonable
suspicion. The Airdrie Court of Justice agreed and ordered that all evidence seized from AMG be
excluded from the trial. AMG was acquitted as a result.
