Kirsten Lancee defended RL against multiple serious charges, including possession of a loaded firearm,
dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and flight from police. At trial, Kirsten cross-examined Calgary
Police Service members about the lack of identification evidence and inconsistencies between HAWC and
Body-Worn-Camera footage. The Calgary Court of Justice trial judge agreed that there was insufficient
evidence on identification and acquitted RL.
